Whole Wheat brownies

I love this recipe it somehow seems healthy just because of the wheat flour but your taste buds would never know it!
First off its not fudgy and gooey its almost cake like but not quite. Its moist, chocolatey and delicious, its even dairy-free and egg-free!

I know my pictures aren't the best but I promise they taste better than I captured ;o)

WHOLE WHEAT BROWNIES
2 C. whole wheat flour (best if from white wheat)
2 C. sugar
3/4 C. cocoa powder
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 C. water
1 C. oil (can use 1/2 c. applesauce and 1/2 c. oil)
1 tsp. vanilla
Optional: Add about 1 C. each of chopped walnuts and mini chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients together and pour into greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes. Let set for 10 minutes before cutting.

This is from my cousin here is the original recipe.
These are great! I made them exactly like it says and they were sooo moist! you can use apple sauce for some of the oil and it will cut back on the fat.

KCW Day 3

I found this adorable knit fabric at the fabric fairy and i just had to have it! I only ordered a half yard and with some piecing together i managed to make it work for a newborn gown!

I didn't do the binding around the neck line this time and i added a mini pocket to the front. I am in love with this gown I think it may be his going home outfit!

I used Kwik Sew pattern 3090 again it is seriously so easy and fast anyone can sew one!

KCW Day 2

Superheros are all the rage these days it seems and my boys have fallen for the trend hard, they dress up as them, fight like them and basically anything they can do as a Superhero they will.

I used growing homes free shorts pattern and i really like that the front and back pieces are different, in my experience those patterns fit the best. They won't fit until next summer i keep forgetting that P is smaller than my other boys were!

A Christmas quilt

I know ,I know its KWC why did make a quilt (well half of one)?! Its called selective procrastination ;0) i do have stuff to make and share but my sister in law had a free quilting class at the church and i thought "sewing with other ladies is waayy more important today!" It really did feel great to get away and be with other people for a couple hours!

I bought the charm pack from fabric.com a few years ago i believe its Moda from the Let it Snow collection. I still need to add some strips to the edges and figure out a backing but the hardest part (for me anyways) is done!

Its green baby!

This is the second pair of baby boy pants I made using Rae's free pattern.

On quite this pair I lowered the front so it is different from the back. I have a smallish tutorial coming after I show the other pants I have made.

I also added a small back pocket for his cute bum ;0) With most of the baby pants I make I try to add extra length to the hem. Its my experience that babies grow longer quicker than they grow wider (at least that is how my kids are) so hopefully these will last a little longer!
